Garden Family Announcement Session

I literally squealed with excitement when Austin messaged me to tell me they were expecting again. They are such a sweet family, and I think it’s really special that I’ve been photographing them since before they had kids. Getting to walk alongside families through so many seasons is one of my favorite parts of Auburn pregnancy announcement photography, and this family has trusted me to do just that.

This session felt especially meaningful because it wasn’t our first announcement together. A few years ago, we were celebrating the news that they were expecting their little girl. Now she’s the one getting ready to become a big sister, and we were celebrating baby brother.

If you’ve been around here for a while, you might even recognize this crew! We first celebrated their growing family during their first pregnancy announcement session, and since then I’ve had the joy of photographing their daughter’s newborn session, birthdays, milestones, and family sessions along the way. Looking back through those galleries makes this season feel even more special because you can truly see their family’s story unfolding.

One of my favorite things about working with families year after year is that every session feels so comfortable. We don’t spend time worrying about getting everyone to relax, we just get to catch up, laugh together, and document whatever season of life they’re in. Those relationships are one of the biggest gifts this job has given me.

I love that these sessions become more than beautiful photos. Together they tell the story of a family growing over time—the excitement of becoming parents, welcoming a newborn, celebrating birthdays, and now preparing to welcome another baby. Being invited back to document each chapter is something I’ll never take for granted.
