One of my favorite parts of Auburn Alabama maternity and milestone photography is getting to revisit families as they grow and change. I’ve photographed Gracie, Chad, and Davis through several seasons now, so getting to spend time with them again as they get ready to welcome baby number two was really special.

We used this session as a chance to document both this sweet season of waiting for their newest little one and Davis at two years old. Two is such a fun age to photograph because there is so much personality packed into one little person. We got plenty of photos of him just as he is right now, alongside maternity photos of Gracie and their family together before everything changes again in the best way.

We also pulled out the backdrop for some milestone photos of Davis, which has become a little tradition with their family. We’ve used the same backdrop during every session I’ve done with them, and I love that they now have this collection of simple portraits that shows just how much he’s grown from one session to the next. It’s one of those things that probably feels small in the moment but will be so fun to look back on years from now.

And now we get to do it all again with another baby! I’m so excited to photograph this next season for Gracie and Chad and to watch Davis step into his new role as a big brother. Getting to watch families grow through the years is truly one of the sweetest parts of this job, and I’m always grateful when families invite me back to document what’s next.
