Experience More During Your Photo Session

As an Auburn Alabama Family Photographer, there aren’t many things I love more than getting to photograph your family in your natural, comfortable spaces. I’m all about getting those real authentic moments where you can look at the photos and go, “it doesn’t even seem like there was a photographer in the room.” Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a family during a really special experience.

Photo sessions don’t always have to be so planned out and posed. Even though you want to remember your family’s specific stages, you also want to remember the shared experiences you have with one another. I’m talking lake days, beach days, birthday parties, a random Saturday farmer’s market run. Those memories are priceless, and trust me, you want photos of the mundane and exciting things too.

Recently, I got to photograph a sweet family having an unforgettable experience. It felt like I was just along for the ride of their family, fun-filled day. It was so special to get to share in their moments and be a fly on the wall to their memories.

We headed to Auburn University, where the dad, an Auburn alum from back in the early 2000s, hadn’t set foot on campus in 18 years. You could feel the excitement as he showed his family around, sharing stories and reliving his college days. We got to hang out on Samford lawn and have a private tour of Jordan Hare Stadium. As a proud Auburn resident, it was so rewarding to capture their joy and share my love for this town through my camera lens.

Getting to share in this moment with the McCombs family was very special for me. You don’t always have to hire a photographer for the really posed moments. You can also hire one for those moments you really want to be fully present for but you also want to be able to look back at every detail.
