I recently had the chance to photograph a maternity session on a family farm in Auburn, Alabama, and it couldn’t have been a better setting. This couple, now living outside of Atlanta, wanted their photos taken somewhere that truly meant something to them. The family farm has been a constant in their lives, and they knew it would continue to be for years to come.

We spent the session exploring the property—tree-lined paths and wide open fields in the golden evening light. Choosing a place with personal meaning made the session feel natural and grounded, and the connection between them was so genuine.

Their newborn session will take place at their home in Atlanta, but I love how intentional they were in picking this farm for their maternity photos. It’s a place tied to their family’s story, not just a pretty backdrop, and that makes all the difference.
