First Year Milestone Session
This first year milestone session marked the end of such a special season with this family.
I’ve had the chance to photograph this family over the past couple of years—from newborn days to milestone sessions and now this first birthday session. With two girls close in age, I’ve been able to see so many stages back-to-back, which is something I really don’t take for granted.
Getting to show up every few months, watch your kids grow, and become a familiar face in your home… that’s my favorite part of what I do.
I love documenting the first year because there is so much that happens. So many different phases and stages that are meant to be captured in time for you to remember forever.
It always feels a little bittersweet when that season wraps up.
I’ll miss seeing the Smallwoods quite as often, but I’m so grateful I got to be a small part of these years—and I’m already looking forward to the next time I get to photograph their family.
