Apartment Complex Commercial Photography

Getting to come in before a place even opens and help build out its entire visual story from the ground up is my favorite kind of apartment complex commercial photography project, and this one with Atlas at Richland Road was exactly that.
Atlas is a brand new apartment complex launching in fall 2026, designed for young professionals and students. They needed a full library of images ready to go before a single person ever moved in, something that could carry their brand across marketing materials, reach a wide range of people, and still feel cohesive. I loved every bit of this.

We actually did this shoot in two rounds. A full day in August and a half day back in November. Shooting across two different seasons was such a good call. It gave them so much more variety to work with, and honestly it just makes the whole thing feel more real. Nobody wants to see a year’s worth of marketing that was clearly all shot on the same Tuesday afternoon.
A big part of the brief was making sure the people in front of the camera reflected the actual range of people who might live there. Different life stages and different vibes, not just young professionals. The goal was for someone scrolling to see themselves in the images, not just some polished, unattainable version of a life they can’t quite picture themselves in.

One of my favorite parts of the whole project was getting to highlight the local businesses and amenities around Richland Road. Because where you live isn’t just your apartment. It’s the coffee shop you walk to on a Saturday morning, the spots you text your friends about. Capturing that side of things made this feel so much more like storytelling than just real estate photography.

Atlas is also a national brand, so everything we created had to fit within their bigger visual identity. Local feel, national fit. It’s a fun creative puzzle, and I think we really nailed it.
