Some of my favorite sessions are the ones that capture families just as they are, especially in these sweet elementary school years. This Auburn arboretum family photo session was exactly that.
Destiny found me through one of my clients. She told me she loved how their photos felt natural and fun, not overly posed, just real life, and she really wanted memories of her kids at this age. (The same age as mine, which always makes it extra meaningful and fun.)
We met up at the arboretum for a laid-back afternoon. The kids ran around, played red light green light, and just got to be themselves. No pressure. No stiff smiles.
One of my favorite moments was Aiden and his dad doing their special handshake. Those little in-between traditions are the things that matter so much years from now.
We just walked the park, let the kids be silly, and focused on having fun creating photos that they can hang in their home and cherish.
