There is just something so special about those first hours with your new baby — the quiet, the snuggles, the wide-eyed wonder, and the feeling that everything in your world has shifted in the very best way. Auburn Fresh48 hospital photography has become one of my favorite things to offer lately because more families are choosing to document this sweet window of time, and I’m obsessed with it.

This fall has been full of new babies, and my most recent hospital session was with Catherine and Kolby as they welcomed their baby girl, Remi, earlier this month. Spending time with them was the sweetest gift. They were glowing, joyful, excited first-time parents, and watching them admire their tiny girl just melted me. We captured photos of the three of them together, moments with just mom and Remi, just dad and Remi, and of course, all the little baby details.

One thing I adore about hospital sessions is that they’re not meant to be overly styled or elaborate. It’s all about documenting those first raw moments. The love, the emotions, the sleepy cuddles, and the way your baby fits perfectly into your arms for the very first time. You’re welcome to bring meaningful items if you’d like, or you can simply invite me in and let me celebrate your family just as you are.

If you’re thinking about adding a Fresh 48 to your baby’s first year of photos, I’d love to chat with you. I offer hospital newborn sessions as an add-on to a traditional newborn session, or as a stand-alone option if that fits best for your family. I currently photograph hospital sessions within 30–45 minutes of Auburn, so if you’re delivering at EAMC or Wellstar in LaGrange, let’s schedule a session together and get your due date on my calendar!
